While application is processing, we are now researching about NB and where is the best place to settle. We initially thought fredericton is where we want to settle but moncton seems good too.
What do you guys think?

@pizzacat , in my application I put Saint John, but I might settle in Fredericton.
Moncton is also okay for me as its near to Halifax,NS, where there are lots of Job opportunity for my spouse. However, Moncton has dual language it might be difficult for me to speak French. But right now I am planning of studying French once I get the PPR.

Can you live in moncton and work in NS? My partner can get a job anywhere. But my occupation is regulated. So i might have to study first and work part time.

We've also been researching, and seems Moncton might be the better choice for us than Fredericton - as @sbernados said, it's near Halifax, which might be a better option for my husband in terms of a job. And yes, Moncton is cheaper than Fredericton - I was actually speaking to someone who had lived both in Fredericton and Moncton, and she suggested Moncton as the better choice.

Lol I just hope we all get the PPR within the next few months....

Patience is HARD WORK!!!!!

Yes, patiently waiting for ppr. Im planning to resign in my work as soon as BG starts. Im excited lol. So we have more time to prepare until next year.

Actually, i was watching some youtube videos from this user blexky and he was uploading videos of his immigrant experience in moncton from since day 1. Cant understand what he says though but he shows everything... looking for apartments, school for his kids, taking bus, driving around moncton, going to grocery, shops, etc. Thats encouraging for us to really settle in moncton.

Same here, I am also watching his all youtube videos, but nothing understand his language. I think he is the Filipino citizen. he has a website also citing every bit of his immigration history, i recommend you guys can visit once. It seems Moncton is the good choice for me. I am also searching for rental assistance for an apartment in Monctono_O

I've read his blog - very informative. Yes, his accent is bit hard to understand, but he was lots of good info ... I'm trying to find which companies and areas to target for settlement

@All

I'm not sure if living in NB and working in another province is a good idea.

they will know when you file your taxes at the end of FY and I'm not sure if that can be a ground for misrepresentation as i believe we all signed an agreement letter with NB when we submitted our application to live and work in the province.

although it's in the constitution that once you became a PR, you are free to move anywhere.
but at the end of the day, it's your choice.

good luck to all and hope to see you in NB.
