This is correct. 6 months in continuous is required for PCC.Can someone please confirm that I only need a police check for countries that I've been in for over 6 months in the LAST TEN YEARS? That is my reading of the advice but want to make sure I'm correct.
Thanks
Dear Friends,This is correct. 6 months in continuous is required for PCC.
Rest once you file ITA application, the tool will suggest PCC accordingly.
I would say, wait for that now. I dont think there will be any harm. Lets see what they say.Dear Friends,
I submitted my eARP two months ago along with all the additional documents they asked. I have been waiting for my PR and yesterday I found out by chance regarding the police certificate, my situation is as follows;
I am a Pakistani national, I went to Pakistan (stayed there for 3 weeks) and obtained my PCC on 14 April and departured on 20 April to Malaysia (my current residence place). What I found out was that, the PCC should be obtained AFTER you have left the country and if it issued before the departure date, then your application will be refused.
I am so nervous and scared, i worked so hard for this application and now it seems i lost it! Please Help!?
Thank you in advance
Request gcsm notes to see if there’s an update but it takes about 30 days. You can use getgcsm or gcsm buddy to request notes.Dear Friends,

Dear Keebs,Request gcsm notes to see if there’s an update but it takes about 30 days. You can use getgcsm or gcsm buddy to request notes.
Dear Jaffaral,No my dear you won't get a ban. You get banned if you are found guilty of intentional misrepresentation or forgery. Mistakes don't put ban on applicant. Getgcms is legit and operated by @legalfalcon who is a very senior member at this forum. He is also very helpful too. So you can trust these guys.
As far as I know, its correct that PCC has to be issued after your departure from that particular country but in your case two months have passed and no refusal so as @mr.preetsingh suggested you just wait and watch. If u have passed your medical then most likely u have passed the R10 stage and mostly rejections happened becuz of these types of concern during this stage.
Also if seniors agree, i would recommend ask someone to get a new PCC on your behalf and submit it thru CSE
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspxDear Jaffaral,
As you mentioned I actually passed the Medical exam few days after when I submitted my eAPR (about 3 months before), then they asked me for Additional documents, which I supplied to them and after that its been 2 months.
Unfortunately, no one i know is in Pakistan, so I am trying to ask my friends to get a PCC for me and my wife and then submit it to CIC.
You mentioned about CSE, is it through Web form (link below)?
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp
Please advise?
Thank you very much!

Ofcourse, they asked for two PCC's, as a special document is required from IRCC to get PCC from Pakistan and Hong Konghttps://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx
May i know what additional documents they asked for?
There is no special doc. require from ircc to get Pakistan PCCOfcourse, they asked for two PCC's, as a special document is required from IRCC to get PCC from Pakistan and Hong Kong
1- PCC from Pakistan (home country) for me and my wife
2- PCC for Hong Kong (previous working place)
So after I uploaded the above two PCC, its been two months. The medical was approved prior to mine uploading the PCC's. So, I think to be safe I will try to get a new PCC from Pakistan, unless, they approve my case.
Thank you very much
Yes sorry, it was for Malaysia and Hong Kong. There is no special doc. require from ircc to get Pakistan PCC
As you mentioned that as they have asked me for additional documents after uploading my pakistan PCC then I should be safe! Thanks a lot man! Appreciate it!If they have asked for additional document then rest assured that your file won't be rejected you this issue inless they have asked for new PCC
