NOC for Php developer

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum.

I have few questions regarding NOC, I would really appreciate if somebody can answer them.

# I am PHP developer and not able to decide which NOC category code do I fall in. Is it 2175 or 2173 or something else? (FYI: my job duties are pretty much similar to the one in 2175)

# Also do I need to change my title from my company to match it with the one given under NOC list? i.e. Web developer or PHP developer will work?

# What about the job duties? Should I ask my employer to give my duties in written on company's letter head or something?

# Also do I need to change my title from my company to match it with the one given under NOC list? i.e. Web developer or PHP developer will work? A: You can keep the one given by the company, just make sure they mean more or less the same wrt their duties.

# What about the job duties? Should I ask my employer to give my duties in written on company's letter head or something? A:Yes, and ensure that they match the ones written under that NOC.

I have experience from 2 different I.T. companies. I want to show experience from both of them.

# The problem is my previous company is closed now, They don't operate there business anymore under that name. So my experience from that one will be counted?

# Also do I need to contact them as well to get my job duties in written from them ?

Yes, if you can contact them do that and get the reference letter along with verifiable proofs of company name/management changes with new name logo websites etc. with contact details that are approachable and verifiable.

If required get them notarized as well.

If you have 3 years of experience with current company and if you get 67 points in FSW grid (eligibility calculator) just by giving 3 years of experience, skip your previous non-existent company experience.

And just choose a NOC that is closest match to your actual responsibilities. All IT NOCs will have some overlap. Since they all are under Skill Level A, there won't be any issues by choosing either 2173 or 2175. A PHP programmer can also be a computer programmer (2174). So just choose anything with which you have responsibilities overlap. The noc email id may not be of much help if your responsibilities contain technical terms and skills. They may ask you to choose a NOC by yourself many times or suggest an incorrect NOC. But no harm in trying. If they respond what you want, it is well and good too.
