Unrelated work experience

Hello All,


My brother has applied FSW and created EE profile as a dentist and got ITA on the basis of dentist only. His score was solely on the basis of Dentist and work experience in years was also solely as a Dentist.

He has some past work experience which is not related to dentistry or medical profession. Does he need to provide proof of employment for that too?

I believe he should as long as he decide to fill it under work history. However, if he is comfortable with filing unemployed during the years of doing the job under work history then he doesn't have to worry about the employment letter. If not then he will need to provide employment letter but won't claim points for that job under work experience which means he will only claim points for relevant work experience. If the experience is not used in claiming CRS points or to qualify under the program, then it need not be mentioned in the work history section and no proof will be necessary. However, it should be mentioned under 'personal details' section of the application.

Thanks everyone. When I looked at the personalized checklist, it specifically said Employment Proof- Dentist
