Hello everyone,

I am in desperate need of some information. I was recently married to my husband who resides in the Dominican Republic. We have two newborn (3 months old) twins.

I was in school last year so I do not receive e.i. I am not on welfare and I don’t plan on taking welfare. I have 3 older children that Are school age. My issue that I am having is finding a babysitter to help while I work. I am a Early Childhood Educator finding a job is no problem. I just don’t have support.

Am I still able to apply for Spousal sponsorship without having a job right now?

No income requirement to sponsor, but you will need to convince IRCC How you will support yourself and you family without social assistance (welfare) when approved.

There’s no financial requirement to sponsor your spouse, you’ll need to write a letter of explanation detailing how you intend to meet the financial responsibilities of supporting your spouse. Maybe its savings or you are supported by family.

Hello,
Approximately how much savings is required to satisfy the criteria?

No financial requirement to sponsor your spouse. How much do you need to support your family?
