As far as i know there are 3 types of reviews
Initial review
Full review
And final review
Your 12 months are completed but still they want additional review
If they have not sent u pre-arrival email then may be waiting for 3 months means they will call for an interview
do they call me or email me ?

Hi everyone,

New to the forum. Sadly still waiting for my common-law partner to get his visa sorted so we can bail out of here and return to Canada. Wondering if I can be added to the spreadsheet please?

App received in Mississauga: 22 Jan 2018
Sponsor approved: 25 Apr 2018
Medical passed: 26 Apr 2018
Transfered to LVO: 27 Apr 2018
BGC not yet started.

On a different note, we're actually considering just packing it all in, leaving London and going to Canada to await the PR status to come through. Has anyone else done that? If so, do you know if it's possible to do or would it require any additional paperwork? I believe UK citizens can go to Canada on a tourist visa for up to 6 months (correct me if I'm wrong).

Hopefully our stuff will come through sooner rather than later, but I'm just concerned that his background check hasn't even started yet. Should we be worried? Our case is actually really straightforward. No kids, no assets, etc., so I'm not sure why it's been complete radio silence since April (and it's now September).

Looking forward to hearing others stories and advice.

I have added you to the spreadsheet, thank you for participating. Just post updates on this thread and I will spot them.

Yes, you can do that. It is referred to as 'Dual Intent' and a lot of people do this. Your British partner would of course need an ETA to get on the plane, but can land then get a 6 month visitor 'visa'. They won't be able to work until your CoPR comes through and you activate it though. They will also need to be able to demonstrate ties back to the UK. Read about it here:

I am afraid that what you have said here is perfectly normal for LVO! Complete silence for months, then it all comes in a rush at the end. I would GUESS (and it is no more than my guess based on other timelines) that you could expect to get your CoPR through in the next month or two.
