Waiting for PR update after medical passed.

Hi Our PR file was submitted on 23rd May and we got our medical cleared on 3rd June 2018. I am on work permit in Canada and my wife is in India. My work permit expires on November 12 2018, My Representative told me that CIC will take the work permit expiry date in account and will try to finish the process before due date. I would like to know how long does it take for background check? Please share your experiences. Thank you

It can vary from days/weeks/months from IP2 to PPR. It depends on individual profile.

Why didn't you apply for a BOWP ?

Because I have a representative, I don’t have access to my profile however, I asked for a screenshot of my profile and it reads We will let you know when we will start your background check. I will apply for BOWP soon.
