What if your mom join your dad later? Still can’t get her PR? Thought it’s okay... that’s the reason why I didn’t ask CIC to cancel my dad visa as probably he change his mind later....
Is there any expiration date on your dad visa? I think it’s one year...

as far as i know, if you don't enter the country with the primary application, you can't after, and have to re-apply for PR. As in new app, probably under spousal sponsorship

Happy to report...yesterday my parents landed as PR at Peace Bridge... little background they were visiting me on Tourist visa and same time we received passport request so we finished landing formalities right away. My parents have some assets back home and they want to bring to Canada, officer was very helpful and they gave us goods to follow receipt as well... overall from start to end it was a pleasure experience and I'm glad it all happened in timely manner

I would like to know more about the procedure and forms need to declare back home assets, Thank you!

Someone from 2017 2nd round got passport request from New Delhi n we from 1st round are still waiting. It has been more then a month they received our pcc n travel form but back ground check had not started.

I think almost everyone logs in every day - MULTIPLE TIMES - just for the heck of it. In fact, this thread, single-handedly, works on all files more than CIC can ever do.

Back to your question, I see no difference. I think on top under status, now there is a line that your application is being processed but other than that no difference. It is slow today.

Same case here, background check not started, but got pre-arrival in July 2018. Medical passed August 2018.
Few weeks AFTER pri-arrival letter, they asked additional documents, and now it says "document received" ..and background check still not started .

Anyone knows the average wait time for PPR after all the additional docs(PCC, CV, Travel history, Government Employment Details) were submitted for applications processed in Ottawa? It's been over a month already for me, and the background check has started already since July 27. I'm a little bit anxious since my parents medical will expire in November.

We sent all documents to Ottawa mid-July and are still waiting for PPR...

Hi All,

My dad got a request to submit his CV/resume containing employment history since age of 18. Is there any format we need to follow? or I can use the above format...Please suggest.

Also the letter CIC sent only mentions my dads name so I assume I don't have to send for my mom.
