Probably because of low IELTS score. Universities will really prefer 7 overall with 6.5 minimum band at the least. Even if you meet their requirements there could be other candidates with better IELTS score.

If you are struggling to get admission I would suggest attempting to sit the IELTS again and try to get a better score. Reading and listening are where you can easily get a full 9 band score in each and try to get at least 6.5 in writing and 6.5- 7.0 in speaking.

Frankly, you are just meeting the requirement of the universities you mentioned. Only you listening is 1 band more than the requirement. In University the competition is fierce and not like in colleges where they have a lower expectation of IELTS score. Hope for the best but this is the current deficiency in your application.

Just out of curiosity what language medium was your engineering degree in ?
