Spousal Sponsorship

Hi,

I would like to know about the financial and income related criteria pertaining to spousal sponsorship.
I have a friend who recently got a Canadian PR (FSW-Outland)and wants to initiate spousal sponsorship.
He is currently a minimum wage worker and after getting his 1st month's salary, he wants to initiate the spousal sponsorship application.

They have a valid marriage certificate and has around $16000 CAD equivalent balance in a combined Indian bank account and FD.

Please suggest asap, the sponsor and principal applicant (sponsor's spouse) have got the forms ready and also the India specific requirement doc as well.

There is no specific income requirement for spousal sponsorship. As long as the sponsor is not on welfare and IRCC can see that the sponsor has income, it should be ok.
