2 Job Offers From One company? (Pre-LMIA and Post-LMIA /Same Position But Different Salary)

Hi everyone,

I just got the ITA yesterday and have been working on my application.
What confuses me the most is the Canadian job experience part. (I am claiming a valid job offer backed with LMIA)

I have been working for this company with an open work permit since July 2017, and when my open work permit was about to expire, the employer applied for LMIA and I now have the close work permit.

My question is I have the official job offer from March 2018 when a job offer has made to satisfy LMIA's requirement (Very strictly written).

But, I do not have my job offer letter from July 2017, when I initially started working. I just lost it.

Duties are the same and the title is the same, but the wage was increased in order to meet the provincial median wage.

In this case, do I really need 2 job offer letters (1 before LMIA and 1 after LMIA) while keeping the employment letter in 1 page?

wouldn't it be weird if I remake the first job offer letter with the information from the job offer letter made in March 2018 for LMIA? I mean, who would've thought that i needed a job code and everything on my non-existing job offer letter? Haha.

Thanks so much guys!

Yes i am !
So I think you can use the Job offer with the LMIA you received on March 2018 and claim the 50 points provided it meets the following as well...
A valid job offer has to be:
  • made by one employer
  • continuous
  • paid
  • full-time (at least 30 hours a week)
  • for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa
    • not seasonal
    • not on a contract basis
  • in a job that is NOC:
    • Skill Type 0 or
    • Skill Levels A or B
It also must be made :

  • if you’re currently working in Canada in a NOC 0, A or B job on a work permit that was issued based on an LMIA, and:
    • you’re working for an employer listed on your work permit
    • you’re authorized to work in Canada on the day you apply for a permanent resident visa, and when the visa is issued
    • your current employer made you an offer to give you a full-time job for at least one year if you’re accepted as a permanent resident

Hi there! Thanks for replying.

Regards to your reponse, how do I deal with the job offer that has been made in July 2017? Does that mean you think I don't have to submit that job offer? Perhaps employee reference letter will suffice it's need?

The whole point is to get the 1 year Canadian experience filled since March 2018 has not been long ago. Will this have to do anything with that? I just wanna show the continuity in one job.

Thanks for taking the time to answer me!

God bless you

You started working on a OWP in July 2017, which will not give you any benefit wrt valid job offer points. So the March 2018 offer will be enough for you to score the 50 points.

Whereas, when it comes to CEC your work experience since July 2017 will be counted as along at meets that about number of hours/week, NOC related requirements. For this you need to ask your employer to support you with a Letter of reference which will detail your start date , designation, job responsibilities, salary package etc... this LoR should be starting from July 2017.
