Background check visa offce

Hi folks. Just curious if anyone has similar experience as mine that can share.

I currently have H1b visa (7 years and counting......) in the US, not a US green card holder, and am in process of the family sponsorship through my wife (wife is Canadian). For background check (has yet started), will the documents be transferred to the LA VO or to my home country?

where your application will be processed depends on the visa officer who initially reviewed your application.....and IRCC could decide to process your application in Canada or LA or visa office responsible for the PA home country.......however, some sponsorship are processed at the visa office responsible for the PA country of origin.

Don't worry about where your sponsorship will be processed......as the approval depends on the proof of the supporting documents and the genuineness of your marriage/relationship.

Thanks for the reply! I'm not too concerned about the eligibility of the application itself. I'm just curious on where the application will be processed as it can significantly impact the processing time.
