Hello Guys,

First of all I want to thank all ( specially seniors) who helps everyone in clearing doubts regarding immigration.
I read about implied status and I got to know, for example if a person has applied for PGWP after graduation and its study visa expire and still working. Till any answer is made regarding CIC, period of study visa expiration till receiving PGWP is called implied status.

I graduated on Sep 1, 2017 and applied for my work permit on Sep 03,2017 and started working full time on Sep 04,2017 under NOC B. My study visa was expired on 30 Nov 2017 and I got my PGWP on Nov 02,2017( got approved before getting study visa expired). My Questions are :

1.)Will my waiting period Sep 03 ,2017 to Nov 02, 2017 is considered as implied status as well ?
2.)Can I file PR under CEC Starting Sep 04,2018 ( so that I can count 1 yr experience from Sep 3 ,2017 (day I applied for PGWP) to Sep 04, 2018
3.) If I have to wait for my 1 yr experience till Nov 02,2018( as PGWP was approved on Nov 02,2017) can I do upfront Medical and police certificates

Thanks

You can get your PCC and medical up front. Just be aware medical is generally valid for one year

For CEC, your experience count starts on the day your PGWP approved. i.e. Nov 02,2017

If you are changing from WP-->WP that experience (implied status) consider for CEC.
Changing from Study permit SP--->WP that experience(on implied status) will not be consider for CEC.

Self-employment and work experience gained while you were a full-time student (such as a co-op work term) doesn’t count under this program.
But once someone applies for a PGWP they are allowed to work full time until a decision has been made and cannot apply for a PGWP whilst a student but only once course has completed so no longer a full time student at that time.

Agreed work whilst a full time student does not count but that is not the case here.

From SP-->PGWP implied status you can work fulltime . But it is not considered for CEC.
In 2015, WP processing time jumped to 6-months. My friend worked in the company for 6-months. CIC didn't consider his 6-months experience.

Hello I applied for my Study permit extension mid September and my Study permit expired on Nov. 30, my course is completed mid December. It’s been 100 days now and I haven’t heard back from IRCC about the decision. I was also working as a Co-op student and got an extension from there for next six months. I applied for Coop extension as well as my Coop was till December end. Now I have to start my job there as I have graduated. I am afraid I may loose the job offer which I have due to the delay in applying my PGWP. Can I apply for my work permit in this situation? Thanks
