HI All,

I have an issue with POF.

Is it true you're parents can gift you the money, obviously with all the notarizations bank letter, statement proving transfer etc., how likely is that the Visa Office will accept it. My immigration consultant has warned its 50/50.

Can I please get some responses from those who know ppl that had no issues, and also those unfortunate ones whose application got refused due to gift deed?

I used a gift deed. It works just fine. Not sure why your consultant is guiding you so poorly.

A gift deed from Parents and In-laws is usually accepted however there are chances where-in a gift deed from siblings have also been accepted by CIC. So, in your case, Gift Deed will not be a problem.

Is there any format for gift deed

As far as I know there is only one serious requirement - it should be stated that the money is a gift, hence your father does not expect you to give the money back.

I am joining the person, who advised you to fire your consultant. Never heard of anyone getting refusded cause of a gift deed from parents, but I have seen posts from people whose application got rejected because of stupid consultants. I myself lost one year because an immigration lawyer provided wrong information to me.. Who knows what other problems you may encounter with him/her further along the road.

Why do you need a consultant in the first place ? This is an immigration stream for high-skilled people and thus I believe you should be and are able to do this on your own.

All you have to do is get the bank letter, plus bank statement showing the transaction, the gift deed from your parents and that's it.

Does the gift deed should be in form of bank transfer? My father has gifted me money in form of cash that I deposited in my account.

GIft deed is a document you have to get from local Notary. An affidavit is also acceptable.
