Working time calculation

Hello everyone,

Is that true that the time should be at least 30 hours a week?
It is not calculated like total amount of time, 1560? For example, even if I work less than 30 hours due to days off, it can be compensated by other weeks which I worked more than that?

If I work two days a week as a part time worker(16 hours total), it is considered as no sufficient time to apply PR?

Thanks in advance.

Your working hours should add up to 1560 hours which is either part time-15 hours /week or full time 30 hours/week. It doesn't matter if you work even 40 hours a week. It will be considered only as 30 hours / week. So you need to work 12 months full time to be eligible for PR

If you are claiming full time job then your work hours should be at least 30 per week, for part time it can be 15 hours per week.

Aw. Thank you so much. If I am a full time worker, and I didn’t work for 30 hours a week I should work more months to add up the time?

Example:

I worked for 39 hours in 2weeks in October last year, that means that I have to work one more week to fill up the time, which is 21 hours?

Yes. Until 1560 hours are reached you need to work. But still the maximum CIC will count is 30 and minimum is 15. There is no in-between hours count

Example:

I worked for 39 hours in 2weeks in October last year, that means that I have to work one more week to fill up the time, which is 21 hours?

The conditions are
1. 30 hours per week on a full time job.
2. Should have worked for continuous 12 months.

Hello guys, what about part time job? I used to work for 24 hours/week. I saw someone mentioning 30hrs/ week will be considered as full time and 15hrs/week will be considered part time job. As I used to work for 24 hours so I don't need total 24 months of work experience, right ?

Anything less than 30 hours per week is "part-time" (it does not have to be exactly 15 hours. SIGH. IRCC gives 15 hours as an example, and some people think that is a requirement).

24 hours per week * 65 weeks = 1560. You need 65 weeks to meet the full-time equivalent requirement in part-time work.

Correct, unless the reason you were short on hours was because you were taking (paid) vacation. Paid vacation still counts as employment.

No, not if you are a full-time worker (30 or more hours per week), you only need to work 52 weeks. You only need to calculate hours if you are a part-time worker (less than 30 hours per week).

No.

If I work two days a week as a part time worker(16 hours total), it is considered as no sufficient time to apply PR?
If you worked 16 hours per week, you would need to work 98 weeks to meet the FTE of one year (1560 hours).
