Adding the sponsor as a representative?

I didn't get AOR yet ( and I need AOR for my personal thing). In ECAS updated that they sent it to us on July 26 so my husband reported to them as the sponsor. After almost 3 weeks CIC replied to our report saying that they were unable to find information stating that my husband is the representative for me (principal applicant). They also said "In order to respond to your inquiry, the principal applicant must provide written consent to IRCC by completing the Use of a Representative form and submitting it via the IRCC Web form".
Then my husband called CIC again in the next day. An agent told him that is their mistake but there is nothing they can do and asked us to report to them again.

Do I need to fill in the using a representative form and add my husband as my representative?? it is really confusing me. If anyone has any ideas please help me out. Thank you

if your application received is complete.......you should expect AOR within 6 to 8 weeks from IRCC.

after the sponsor is approved to sponsor the PA for PR......the 2nd part of the sponsorship is the PR application for the PA.......Its not mandatory you appoint a representative... ..so its your decision if you want to appoint your husband as your representative.....and if you appoint him. you need to fill the Use of Representative form and send to IRCC through IRCC Webform

A representative is someone who gives advice, consultation, or guidance to you at any stage of the application process, or in a proceeding and, if you appoint him or her as your representative by filling out this form, has your permission to do business on your behalf with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)

You do not need to hire a representative. We treat everyone equally, whether they use a representative or not.

I don't see any reason not to add your husband to the representative form. While he is not a lawyer, he can still work with IRCC on your behalf. I has this issue myself. Once my spouse's PR went into AIP stage, I lost all ability to communicate to IRCC on my wife's behalf. She would have to be the one doing all the communication between IRCC and herself. Had I known this beforehand, I would have added myself to her application as her respresentative. This would be very useful especially if one's spouse does not speak English or French. What would that person suppose to do then if he/she cannot talk to IRCC on the phone.
