Hi community,

I got a email titled permanent resident - call in notice yesterday and it included a scheduled interview appointment in it. I though it was part of the process before they approve my case, but it then says landing interview in the letter.

My application on CIC My Account has not been updated since May, the same month I submitted the application.

Does anyone know what's happening here? Because I would assume landing interview is only required after your case is (mostly) approved.

Thank you!

From what I got when reading many threads about the interviews, the interview is the last step. It is done after everything else is sorted and the final decision is made right after the interview.

Yes for inland applicants thats how they call it, consider it PR approved, they will just ask basic set of questions and make it final.
