Yes, I am very worried because of this fact! I have visited my doctor after a month of Humira (in July'18) and the prognosis is very good. Humira works like a charm for me. I am scheduled to see my doc after 6 months (sometime in dec'18). As per my doc, she sent a very positive report on my prognosis (She told me. We both work at UofA hospital, so communicate outside the clinic too). I am required to get bloodwork done once a year as of now.
Yes. I am gathering all the info about Humira that I can in anticipation of a procedural fairness letter. I hope it never comes to that!
Not really any biologicals that are generic yet. I believe there was a recent case on Humira for colitis that was approved after procedural fairness so there is hope. Really it is better to do this now than during citizenship as the panel physician said. You are also very lucky because there would have been no chance 6 months ago. All individuals with autoimmune conditions are unique. Treatments have become much better but also a lot more expensive. Unfortunately a large percentage of patients end up on disability so that is also a concern. Best thing you can do is live your life successfully in Canada. All you can do is prepare for procedural fairness and show a successful life in Canada. Doing well at your job will help you no matter the outcome. Best of luck.
yes, the panel doctor uploaded the files within a week from those dates.
As far as I know, the panel doctor uploaded my specialist's report (asked by CIC on 15th June) and information about Humira dosage and starting date (Asked by CIC on 29th June). I have not uploaded anything on my own, although I was planning to upload a letter from my insurance company agreeing to pay for Humira (80% coverage) and a letter form Abbvie declaring that I am on their patient assistance program (paying the rest 20%). I decided against it as CIC did not ask for these documents as of now.
Because I also got an email from medical officer to do additional tests. I did it after I had submitted my application. And my panel physician uploaded the results of the requested analysis. No I don't know what to do with new IME report my panel physician gave to me. Should send newn IME report to the e-mail which asked for the additional tests or should I wait for IRCC to ask for it if they are going to ask? I dunno what to do.
If your panel physician has already updated your medical file, you do not need to do it on your own. I think the IME given to you by the doctor is your copy. I am not sure though.
