If I file taxes and CRA hasnt issued a Notice of Assessment, will that year not meet requirement?

i.e. does the income tax filing requirement look at the act of filing taxes or actually having the filing complete (as would be indicated by a Notice of Assessment?

You need to have filed, it doesn't have to be assessed. What's the context of this question, though?

In case you are planning to apply in early 2019: You don't need to have your taxes filed for 2018 when applying for citizenship, unless it's after the submission deadline (end of April 2019).

The context is -- applying this year a few weeks after filing for 2017-- i.e. not assessed yet and dont know when CRA will complete assessment. Your response answers my question.

I have an issue with my address. When I filled my taxes trough volunteers. I gave residential address and a postal address. He used only my postal address on my tax declaration. Now I am little bit scared because of that. I don't want Ircc accuse me of misrepresentation since my residential address is not on my taxes document. How can I Fixe that, any suggestions will help.

Misrepresentation requires intentionally misstating facts. You are not doing that, no worries.

I would suggest to contact the CRA to update your address. You can do so online if you're signed up for my account. Or you can call the CRA.

Thank you,
I already do it online;but the this period of time doesn't match with my residential address which is on my paper... That's why I'm worried.
