Express Entry background check

Hi all

I have submitted my express entry documents. My current status is:

Review of eligibility - Review in Progress
Review of medical results Review in Progress
Review of submitted documents - No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview - Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress

I am little worried about background check as the review of submitted documents isn't still in progress. Has any forum member seen this before ? Thanks in Advance

Hi,

I submitted my application on July 2018. After 14 days, I received an update stating that I passed ‘Medical’. Yet, they haven’t started my background check yet and it’s been 1.5 months.

Is anyone out there facility a similar situation?

Don't go by online status. It's only accurate upto medicals passed.

background checks typically start 1 to 3 months after medical passed, depending on the work load of the senior officer the application is assigned to. online status will not show when it starts.
