Can we show bank statement upon arrival as proof of available funds

I’m planning to land in Canada by the end of September. I wanted to know if I can carry around 5000 CAN $ and remaining I can show my bank statement. Will that be acceptable?
Anyone please share their landing experience that would be great help.

Yes bank statements are fine, one is not expected to carry all in cash

Yes, use a prepaid debit card or traveller's checks instead of cash. That's a safer way to travel.

Some banks do, some don't. I prefer to keep my options open for after i land. In case they ask about money i plan to show a statement and/or login through my banking app. Then i ll look into banking options to see which suits me. Don't want to be limited

Avoid traveler's check as some banks have stopped accepting those. Better to get a demand draft/banker's check instead.

Yes that what I was thinking to show bank statement and I’m sure they understand that it’s not possible to carry that much cash.
