Hi guys ,

I have already applied and am at IP1 stage. I wanted advice on

Whether my CRS change in case I add my spouse after AOR to my application. Means do I have to get ECA and IELTS for my spouse also?

Please advise. Thanks.

Hi guys ,
I have already applied and am at IP1 stage. I wanted advice on which is the better option
1. to get married before CoPR, or
2. Get PR and then sponsor spouse.

In option 1.. What if I have shown funds equivalent to one person and now want to add spouse in application? Can I show additional funds while submitting other docs of spouse?

Also, is there any spouse visa option if I choose Option No 2 or she has to apply through Express Entry again with my sponsorship?

Please advise. Thanks.
1- yes you can show it
2- sponsorship is a different process. read about it on the government website first to fully know what is expected. it can take around a year

you're not required to do your spouse's ECA and IELTS in the first place. this is only a requirement for the primary applicant. people do them to increase points if needed.
as for crs recalculation i'm not sure, but logically it should.

Ok... but my CRS fall below ITA day limit if I don't claim points for ECA & IELTS. Read somewhere that CRS freezes after AOR and hence adding spouse won't affect it... Anyways thanks for helping ..

CRS freezes for certain things like your age or IELTS. when you get married, your spouse will have to do medicals and pcc anyways.
for crs recalculation after adding spouse, you better wait for someone else to confirm this.

Yes, no issue with medicals, pcc etc.. ECA is the one that takes longest time about 2 months ... so it would be good if CRS won't get affected and ECA is not required.. Otherwise it will delay my application a lot..
I'm waiting for others to confirm on CRS freeze thing....
Thanks a lot @hamgha

You need to inform them that you intend to add your spouse through webform, they will ask for her medicals and pcc and marriage certificate. Score will not change after AOR if you got married after AOR. No need for ECA and IELTS.

The reply is very clear. Through the webform. What is the confusion?
