Hi,

My husband received his CoPR letter today, and I was wondering what happens next? Does he present this letter to customs when we land in Vancouver, and wait for the PR card? (they did not request to submit his passports to the Hong Kong Visa Office, we are applying from Taiwan).

Also, they gave us approximately 3 months to land in Vancouver, is this normal?

Can he still travel out of Canada and come back after the CoPR expires?

Although I am really happy he has received his CoPR, I am just surprised there wasn't any interview, passport request and the tight expiration date on the CoPR

Hi

Yes.

Yes. The COPR is valid for one year from the date of the medical.

He can leave Canada but to board a plane back to Canada, he would need the PR card or a PRTD. Alternatively, he could fly to the US and enter at a land border without a PR card or PRTD.

Interviews are uncommon and only happen when there are issues/suspicions about the app. He is visa-exempt, so no passport request is needed. 3 months isn't too bad; I've seen a lot tighter, like 3 weeks.

Did your husband received any other letter with COPR?? I have also received COPR with a letter in that letter they had written

Your visa is valid if all family members have been declared and examined. you must therefore inform us of:

1. any change in your marital status or in your family composition.
2. any significant change in your health or physical fitness or that of a dependent.
3. any criminal charge or conviction since submitting Your application.
BEFORE you leave for Canada. We will let you know what further procedures are required.

Failure to notify this office of any of the circumstances above, or a change in any of the circumstances above, could make you and/ or your dependents inadmissible to Canada. Landing without disclosing any of the above changes is a punishable offence and may lead to your removal from Canada. All family members are required to be examined before you go to Canada.

At the time of your arrival you will be interviewed, and granted entry into Canada based on the information in the documents that were providing to you now.

I have written my questions above in red color.

My question,

All the person are receiving COPR with another letter in which they have mentioned above material which i had written?

All family members are required to be examined before you go to Canada.

At the time of your arrival you will be interviewed, and granted entry into Canada based on the information in the documents that were providing to you now.

Please explain the above lines.

Thanks in advance.
