I am being sponsored by my Canadian partner and we are moving with 2 kids which are born abroad but Canadian citizens. Am i allowed to apply for the CCB and Ontario child benefit when we arrive, if I am being sponsored? or is that not allowed for the 3 years that he has signed the undertaking ? thanks

You can apply once you arrive. CCTB is not classified as social assistance.

Based on your family's previous international income. You will be asked to provide information.

Just want to confirm that your children (CCB) must be living in Canada permanently to get CCB. You can't sign up after soft landing. Family must move permanently to Canada in your case to get gst/hst credit.

You can't say 0. The amount you receive will be based on your 2017 foreign income. You will need to convert it to CAD using the annual Bank of Canada exchange rate. You may have to submit your foreign income documents as proof.

Sounds like you are doing a soft landing so you need to do all this when you land for good and dates will vary based on when you move for good.
