No one can really determine how long the program will continue for. So far analysts are very positive about it and believe EE is here to stay. However with elections around the corner and knowing the opposition isn't very pro Immigration, you never know what happens if the government changes. I don't know your background, so can't comment on your decision. You will need to weigh the pros and cons and take a chance accordingly. Honestly what do u have to lose, but imagine if u do get the PR you will have much to gain. All the best.

I have been living in Canada since the past few years and I have never seen/heard anyone addressing an unknown individual as a 'dude'.
Again, Canadians are quite welcoming and won't tell you 'then please do not come to a western country'. I guess this is an American thing, eh?

ohh yeah... let me share my experience why I fell I love with Canada... so few days back I was coming back from work.. It was Friday. around 2 pm..so my watch was reminding of one my meetings , so I just picked it up to cancel it. So a guy in car next to me.. :" Shut it down buddy its Friday enjoy no meeting eh" . Its so cool... such gestures are really nice...Haha
