I'd like to firstly thank everyone on this thread for all the useful information posted over time! I have found it extremely helpful. I have a few questions regarding the landing experience in Canada for PR. I'd be really grateful if you could help me with these questions below :

1. City of Destination says Toronto on my COPR. I'm planning to fly to the US (I'm from India) and then drive to Windsor and complete my PR process at the Windsor port of entry. I'd like to know if this is OK. I have applied my PR under the Federal Skilled Worker option.

2. I'm only planning to stay for a day or two in Canada and then return to India. I'm also planning to give my friend's address to mail the PR card. Given this situation, can I tell the officer about my short stay? Will he/she refuse to mail the PR card to my friend's address if he knows that I will not be staying there for more than a day?

3. Since I'm only going to be in Canada for a day, I am not bringing anything with me. Is it mandatory for me to fill the B4 and B4A forms in this case?

4. After I complete the PR process, can I travel to Canada again by road with just the COPR and passport? I heard the COPR is valid only for a single entry.

Thanks so much in advance!!

1- You can enter at any point (POE)
2- in the airport when you go through the immigration process, and when asked to provide an address, just give them the address without any additional information
3- Not bringing any luggage with open eyes on you and you will be asked the reason behind that. Convincing them is your issue now. You might claim that you rushed doing the landing fearing that you might miss the time window and that you are going back to get your money from your employer, closing bank accounts, etc
4- Yes you can but its subject to the officers at the boarder on what would happen next. Applying for a PRTD from your country to fly back is best option provided you give the same explanation on why you had to leave.

Just a follow up question on #2 : If I'm questioned about the PR address, can I tell them that its a friend/relative's address? I checked some posts where it says that sometimes the officers might not accept a friend’s address. What is the solution in this case?

Don't volunteer to give such info.
