Pending asylum in USA

My asylum application in USA has been pending for more than 7 years. Has not been denied or approved. My wife has green card and I can not file for green card till she becomes US citizen, long way from now. We qualify for Epress Entry and our CRS score is more than 450. Will my pending application create trouble for me applying for Canadian Express Entry? Will they as me questions about my USA asylum claim? Once I leave US there is no coming back and don’t want to be denied entry to Canada. Will this create admissibility issue?

As long as you are upfront about your status, it shouldn't affect your application. Getting a visa would be an entirely different situation, so you want to have everything in place before you make any effort to enter Canada.

Thank you for your response. Could you please clarify what you mean by “getting a visa would be an entirely different situation.”

You won't qualify for a work permit, visitor visa or study permit to Canada.
