Can I send the citizenship application early

Any thoughts on applying exactly a day after meeting eligibility for someone who has never left Canada (not even for a day) after becoming a PR?

She applied for citizenship September 28, 2009, and nearly SEVEN years later the application is still in process, still pending.

Here is a clue: in her case the CBSA Travel History did not disclose any travel during the time period she reported being in Canada. No stamps conflicting with her account of presence. Met the minimum physical presence requirement. And nearly SEVEN years later, still in limbo.

That's bloody disappointing as hell. Seriously, in that case even applying a week later may have no bearing if IRCC feels the need to dispute your travel history. They could as well say you were outside Canada for 2 weeks (when in reality you were not) regardless of the information they receive from CBSA. How does one challenge this? I feel maybe there is more than meets the eye with that case, perhaps a case of dual nationality and traveled on another passport or something. Either way its disappointing.

Obviously that case is an extreme case. Chances are that you will not have an issue if you have no other "red flags" and you are sure of your travels (or lack thereof). But the main point of mentioning the case is if you can wait a few days (or more) just to be extra safe, why not?

Thanks for the reponses Keesio. Lol, i'm pretty darn sure I didn't leave the country even once after becoming a PR nor do I have any red flags. I do however, have a few months of being unemployed (but was still looking for work whilst physically being in Canada). Which now makes me wonder, if asked, how I could prove my presence in Canada during my time unemployed. Having said that they could even ask to prove that I didn't go on vacations abroad when employed and the burden of proof lies on me. Maybe I am just overthinking this. I was banking on their CBSA checks to authenticate my presence here, however, reading the story above makes me think otherwise. I am going to deliberate over this for a few and either apply the next day after eligibility, hoping they reference CBSA data as gospel or I will just wait it out a few months. Either way I feel they can make your life miserable if they wanted to. Thanks for all the help.

Maybe I am just overthinking this.

Maybe a bit. But that is natural, most of us here over think it (myself included). They don't want to (intentionally) make our lives miserable lol. But if you leave no wiggle room, they then to look a little closer. If it is not an inconvenience, just apply with a few weeks extra over the minimum and that should be good.

Ok I applied for a new PCC now and hopefully if that comes thru, before the old one crosses 3 months, I will wait for a week to 10 days to apply.

I realize this is an old thread with not a lot of eyes balls and appreciate all you guys help. Cheers!
