Registration required for Course enrollment at U of Ottawa - Confusing

Hey Guys,

I have just been admitted to M.Eng program in Electrical and Computer Engineering for winter 2019 term. Every time I try to enroll in the courses through my uozone, it gives 2 errors - that I am not registered to classes and also that I need to take the department's permission to take up a course.

I am honestly confused. I do have an admission condition, which I have fulfilled then why am I seeing this? The University is not responding at all. Their phone calls are on the answering machine.

Please if anyone of you could help me out in this regard, I will be thankful.

If you had received a conditional offer letter then you need to first get the condition removed. The unconditional offer letter needs to be generated first. Then you will be able to register for the courses.

From your perspective you may have fulfilled the condition, but the dept. has to approve it in some online portal. Then the admission dept will review it and generate new unconditional offer letter.

Remember, the entire admission workflow is automated and driven by software. At each step, of admission process, certain dept. or person has to click some button to approve it. Software is not allowing you to register for courses because some of the previous step in admission process is not yet complete.

The dept. may be occupied with Sept' intake activities. You have some time for Winter classes and hence they might respond little late.
