hello guys

i have few things to clarify as i am submitting application for parents and grand parent's sponsorship program.

i have met income requirements and all. My younger brother is in canada on study visa and is over 21 years age. Can my parents add him as a dependant in this application?

if not adding, they still have to mention his name on application?

If he is 22 years or older, then he is too old to be included as a dependent in your parents' sponsorship application.

he turned 21 in february so he is not 22 years old yet. what do you think?

should i add him as dependant?
Actually, you must add him as a dependent if he meets the criteria. Even if he is non-accompanying.

In that case he's not over 21 years of age as stated in your original post. He is 21 years old and therefore qualifies as a dependent. If he was over 21 years of age, he would be 22.

Ok I will add him as dependent on parents sponsorship application.

Will he get accepted for permanent residence along with parents and able to immigrate with them?

He is currently on student visa in Canada. I will add him as accompanying parents on application.

Many thanks.

Oh really? That's awesome.

Coz currently I am spending another year of school fees in SPP college in canada on him just to make him able to get a work permit so he could apply for PR on his own after his work experience. I guess I should send him back home and have him wait for his application to process for permanent residence with parents. That would save 15000$ of fees spent on him in next year.

Out of curiosity, did you apply and get accepted for the 2018 Parent/Grand Parent program? If you are planning to apply in 2019, that will change your options to add him as a dependent.

Not only that, his family size will increase by one if brother is added as parent's dependent. OP mentioned that he meets the income requirement and all. But then discussed about adding brother to the application. OP will have to make sure his income requirement includes his brother. Assuming OP is sponsoring his parents and one brother and has no family of his own, his family size would be 4.
