For those who already took Oath, how soon did you get those letters afterwards? It's been over 5 weeks for me and I haven't received anything. Not that I really need those letters, just pretty curious...

I'd forgotten they would send them. Haven't received anything, but I'm only at 4 weeks.

Maybe it’s the same as the ‘discover Canada ‘ book they claim to send but you actually need to download it yourself...

So they actually may not send any letters.. I don't think I'm trying get more excitement as I didn't feel much different before and after the oath. But what's the point of having us check those checkboxes in the application, if they aren't even sending the letters?

By electoral districts, please. I want to know which MP's specifically are slacking off.
You know what? Sending congratulatory letters to new citizens is a good way to gather votes, so I don't know why MP's don't wanna do this.

Right? You'd think they'd be clamoring for lists of potential constituents.

That said, if you've been railing for tougher immigration requirements or have been anti-immigration altogether, this probably isn't a priority lol

I never got mine when I became a citizen in 2013. I totally forgot I was supposed to get one. Oh well. At least at the ceremony I got the generic letter from the PM. That was nice.

The free year of parks admission makes up for lack of a MP letter. Shame it wasn't for provincial parks as well.
