hello guys

I have apply for a visitor visa on July 14. I’m currently in United state for the summer since I’m participing in the summer work and travel ( j1 visa ) so my friend and me want go to Canada after summer to visit Quebec . Some of them have get their visa approved but I’m still waiting for some updated and the web said the time for processing is only 11 days and I have been waiting since July 14. That’s normal ?? There are something I can do to move the recesión ?? When the application take so long is because they are gonna to refuse the visa ???

Yes - this is quite normal. The posted processing times are just estimates. Processing can take anywhere from a few days to several months. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to speed up processing. No - a long wait time does not necessarily mean that they are going to refuse the visa.

Why is different between application ? I hold a US visa and have good finances and travel history. But my friend only hold the j1 visa and no travel history and they answer there application in only 5 days .

Background checks can take different amounts of time for different people - depending on where they are from, where else they have lived and other factors. That's often the main reason for delays.

Ok thank you for answer me that help me a lot :) another question : if they approved it when I’m back to my country ( Dominican Republic ) still have to send the passport to NY or I can do it in my own country ???

Dear Friends..need urgent suggestions. I applied for my mother's tourist visa on 28 June 2018 through a paper based application and submitted at VFS, New Delhi.
We have our confirmed flight booking for 9 August and still no sign of passport.

What should I do?
