I sent mine Friday before and they received my passport last Tuesday and dispatched it on Thursday. I’m in Tobago so I should get it on Monday. It literally took 2 days. I expected it to take 2 weeks.

Hi guys. Recently landed PR. Our experience landing was smooth as everyone else described. We didn't know that service Canada at the airport is closed during weekends so we had to go to one outside during the week to get our SIN cards. Interactions with the government agencies were very good as everyone is generally pleasant and wait time are short.

After getting your SIN card setting up bank account was simple as most banks have starter packages for immigrants.

After those processes others become a little more difficult as everyone either refuse to do business or charge you more as your new and do not have credit history or source of income. We had the experience of cancelling our Airbnb due to its poor condition and can't lease an apartment unless you pay up to 6 months in advance in some cases.

Job wise being here just under a month most places hire through networking for hire level jobs, so you have network as best as possible to land a job.

Other than that we are enjoying the warm weather while it last with all the entertainment downtown.

I sent it to them on the 16th. They received it on the 17th. They approved and dispatched in the 23rd. Collected on 24th.
