Passport delivery in another country (United States)

Hi everyone,

May I know that whether I could deliver my passport to the Visa Center in New York, United States, after receiving confirmation letter for work permit application from the Visa Center in Beijing, China?

Initially the application was submitted and processed in the Visa Center at Beijing, China, but soon I will have to travel to the United States for a relatively long period with my passport, in which case I will not be able to deliver the passport to the Visa Center in Beijing. Therefore I'd like to know if passport delivery to the Visa Center in New York is applicable and if it is, is there any additional material that I should carry over for this kind of transition?

Yes, you just have to request the Beijing VO for the transfer.

However the New York option is a bit complicated since you send your passport and send the payment to two different addresses. You can consider submitting to Ottawa with a prepaid international courier return envelope.
