Hello. Did you get any updates on the status of your application?
No, nothing yet I just contacted my lawyer and asked whether it would be good if I started contacting the embassy. It’s been 3 months... how about you?[/QUO
No. There is no update on my application. Because I saw you submitted paper application, I think they will contact you via mail service. Did you check your mailbox?
Where are you originally from? I think that makes a big differenceSeeing how long you guys have been waiting, I’m wondering how much more time they’ll take for my application. Submitted paper application on July 9th at the LA consulate, believing it’ll take 5 weeks (per their website) but don’t think that’s accurate. My program starts on September 4th and at some point soon, I need to resign from work! Oh Canada lol
I’m from India and seems it’s faster if one applies from India under the SDS program. It’s just four weeks. But I can’t apply under that cos am in the StatesWhere are you originally from? I think that makes a big difference
What haven’t you submitted a case specific enquiry? It seems pretty harsh of them to make you wait for 2-3 months especially when they quote the processing time is just five weeksWhere are you originally from? I think that makes a big difference
My case is a little different... I got a speeding ticket back in 2012 and so I also had to apply for a TRP... it’s a looong story. So I knew that it would take much longer and a very close call. Also I got some data from a website which said, 88-89% of the Study permit applications from the US are approved. So keep the faith!
And which website is this if you don’t mind me asking? I have tried to find data like this for monthsAlso I got some data from a website which said, 88-89% of the Study permit applications from the US are approved. So keep the faith!
Ah gotcha, I should've gotten a lawyer!! Can I still get one? I don't suppose there's any point hmm. But hey do tell us what happens. Fingers crossed. This is a blackhole of a processMy case is a little different... I got a speeding ticket back in 2012 and so I also had to apply for a TRP... it’s a looong story. So I knew that it would take much longer and a very close call.
BUT... and I am excited to share this, my lawyer already heard back from thr embassy and they said my application is scheduled to be reviewed next week.
So I guess it does really help to have a lawyer. They contacted the embassy twice and have gotten a response back on the same day.
I will be an emotional mess the next weeks knowing they are actually making a decision.
