I just noticed in the trackers that the family application usually takes longer than singles, in our case the application is In process for more than 2 months, Parents and kids have a different dates of start processing application, parents May 31th, kids (minors) June 29th This Is Normal? how long for families to ask for the test after being In Process, we are January applicants if this make a difference

I would agree, it does not make a difference.
As a single applicant, I have perused the sheets and noticed (incorrectly) that family applications got their AOR faster etc etc, but I think that's just because I am a single applicant and that's what my brain "wants" to see.
Ultimately, it makes no difference. Just be patient and remember they say it is an average of 12 months.

Cheers,

If 4 people apply today from same zip code, some will get citizenship 7 months later, some 10 months later and some will get RQ and will take forever. Family application make no difference. They treat 4 family members as 4 different applications. Yes, same agent will work on those and they try to accommodate test, oath together but each individual will go through due process. Husband has clean residency doesn't make wife residency clean. In fact a lot of fraud cases came from family application. Husband working in middle east and purchase a house in canada and wife, kids living here. Husband using electricity bill under his name and trying to prove residency. Many many cases are like that.
This is actually incorrect. Here is the link to the CIC website where they state family applications will be processed TOGETHER:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=734&top=5

They exemplify situations that may lead each individual to be assessed separately AFTER THE TEST, but they are clear about family applications being processed together.
