Hey
I am from pakistan.
I did Masters in commerce (2.8 Gpa)
Currently doing M.phil in Economics ( 3.45 gpa) have transcripts waiting for degree..

Now my question is i wanna move to canada on study visa.which way would be appropriate?
First way is to hide m.phil and on the basis of Masters i would go but mostly universities required high gpa 3 or morethan 3. Does there any uni in canada who can give admission on 2.8 gpa? Further, if i get admission so will visa officer accept my profile on minimum gpa?

Second way on the base of m.phil in economics i wanna get admission on any masters program that relates to evonomics such as masters in econmic social development etc.
Will visa officer accept my visa as a already m.phil candidate is going to take adm in masters ???

Recommendations please

I cannot get admission in phd because my level of english didnt get 7.
I got 6.5 band

Last question which things makes ur visa file strong? Academic grades or ielts? And how much?

hey,

As far as i have been informed, Canadian universities are GPA oriented and people with less than 3.0 gpa will have a tough time. A strong SOP, strong LORs and 4+ years of work experience might make up for the low GPA. No guarantee even with that profile. IELTS should be above 7.0.

I am in the same boat as you, only difference being I got 2.5-2.7 gpa in my Bachelors. The only thing applicants can do is strengthen other components of our profile to make up for GPA and pray to get acceptance+visa.
