Well u don’t have to count the baby before it is born make sure to submit the application before that . And then if latter down the road if they ask then u can submit 2018 NOA. That way neither you will be misrepresenting and will be fullfiling the requirements at the time of application submission.Good afternoon,
Does anyone knows when should I report I have a new baby? I'm pregant now and I received an invite to apply to sponsor my mother.
When I send my form on January I met the the minimum income needed (because I wasn't pregnant) but when my baby will be born, as that add a new person to my family I will not meet the minimal income required.
The situation is:
- In january 201 I met my requirements at that time with my 2017 incomes (without a baby)
- My incomes in 2018 are higher and I will meet the minimal income even adding my new baby
but the question is will they consider my incomes in 2017 but the size of my family in 2018 (baby will be born in september)?
I hope my explanation is clear.
Thanks
That's a tricky situation. You do not need to report your baby just yet as he/she is not born yet. If you apply before your baby is born in September 2018, then you'd meet the LICO. However, you are required to meet LICO throughout the application process and they may ask you to provide another NOA down the road if they feel that they need it. But, if I understand you correctly, your income meets the LICO even with an additional baby starting 2018 onward. So, if and when they do request NOA, it'd already be 2019 fiscal year. You might be ok with LICO. I'd still apply if I were you.Good afternoon,
