How the visa is issued for the applicant who lives in Afghanistan. Does the applicant have to take the passport to New Delhi or it should be mailed.

They will send you instructions in the PPR where to send the passport.

Check your GC key. Mine says approved and I see a counterfoil document attached in my account but no passport dispach update yet.

I am Oct Applicant and saw this added on my CIC today. No emails or anything. I checked the CIC and and it said applicants from india doesn't until Dec 31,2018. Not sure if anyone else got this as well.

Its Probably that, they are rolling Out this field in advance as a preparation for 31st Dec 2018. Time will tell.. So far, no msg/email requesting same..

Yes I see approved where it used to say submitted. I am not sure what that document is but I am assuming it is the travel document or visa as it has things like issue date, expiration dat, country of issue etc. don’t worry if you didn’t get one yet, it will come tomorrow. The biggest thing is that we have submitted our passports

For Sure, its only for NEW applications from 31st Dec 2018 onwards. One can check it on this URL : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp

It is the date when the application was received by CIC in Mississauga.

Nope no email or anything yet. I just randomly checked the GC Key and saw the status was approved. Yes I am also hoping to get the passport sometime this week or early next week. No update in the VFS site though.
