Hello Guys,

I was going through CIC website and read following:

At the time of the e-APR, processing officers should compare both CRS scores to determine which of the following scenarios should be applied:

  • If the applicant’s CRS score at the time of the e-APR is equal to or higher than the lowest-ranked score in the round of invitations, the application will not be refused under section A11.2, as long as the applicant’s supporting documentation corroborates their claims and they continue to meet the MEC for Express Entry, including the requirements of the program to which they were invited to apply.
  • If the applicant’s CRS score at the time of the e-APR is lower than the lowest-ranked score in the round of invitations, the application should be refused under section A11.2 for not having maintained the qualifications that would justify the ITA.

My question is if CRS is 445 and the day ITA will be issued have a cut off CRS of 441. I will receive ITA.
Now if at the time of submitting e- APR cut off score goes to be 450. Will my application will refused or not ?

In short ,Will CRS score has any affect after receiving ITA ?
Second point shows we can get refusal if our CRS drops

Thanks for reply Del. Please advise what does second point mean.

According to My understanding
ITA is when create our profile on CIC website and request express entry profile based on our self assessed score. We receive ITA

e-APR means when I gathered all documents upload it and pay required fees and submit it to CIC

Please correct me if I am wrong

It means that if your CRS drops below the cutoff score for the draw for which you were invited then you'd receive rejection. There are different scenarios in which this would happen. Please do not ask me to state those scenarios.

Thanks Del ! I got it

In case if I received ITA on 441 and cut off was 441 and at the time of submitting e-APR my score drops to 435 due to my qualifications or any reason that my application will be rejected. In short it has nothing to do with future cutoff scores, if my score remains 441 I am good to go

I just want to confirm if I understood in right way. Please answer YES or NO

Hi
I also have a similar question. At the time of receiving an ITA my score was 471 however, I could not obtain an employment letter so I moved this employment to my personal history section. As a result, my points decreased to 447 when submitting my e-APR, which is about 5 points above the cut off score for that round of invitations.

Will my application be rejected? I heard that you also need to be above the lowest ranked candidate in that round of invitations?
