Parents sponsorship file Refusal and not sure to appeal it or reapply

Hello everyone,

I have applied for my parents permanent residence application and they have refused the application due to insufficient Income in one of the three years. They have sent me a letter to make appeal. Now I will have a minimum sufficient required income for last three years (2016, 2017 and 2018) in end of 2018.

Should I appeal it or reapply again in 2019? If I do appeal it, Do I have a any chance to get positive result?

When did you apply? You would at least need to meet LICO for 2015 and maybe before that. If you don't meet the LICO for the years required in your application and the subsequent years until your file was processed there is no point appealing.

What are you going to appeal? You didn't qualify and were correctly refused. You shouldn't have applied when you didn't meet the income requirement.

There's no point appealing. You didn't meet the requirements to sponsor and were correctly refused. Appealing will be a waste of time and money - and will end in another refusal.

Best option is to re-enter the lottery in the next round and hope you are selected again.

No. For the appeal they will consider the same income they considered when you originally applied (i.e. 2014, 2015, 2016). Again, no point appealing since you were correctly refused and didn't meet the requirements to apply.

Again, you applied without qualifying and were correctly refused. Also, you wasted a lottery spot, so there is someone out there who DID qualify but didn't get to apply because of you.

Hi is there update to this? Did you get the approval? I have a friend who is in the same situation to this.

My sister is also in the same situation. Her income alone is not sufficient but her husband didn't cosign at time of submission. Should we choose to appeal, are we allowed to add a co-signer?

Appeals only work if someone was incorrectly refused. Your sister was correctly refused and didn't qualify to sponsor at the time she applied. If she didn't have enough income to qualify to sponsor her husband needed to co-sign at the time of the initial application. I don't see any point in appealing - it will be a waste of time and money. She should reapply (she'll need to wait until the program reopens again in 2020).
