Correctness is assumed with number of people supporting one answer/response.

You get band 8 if you have 35-36 answers correct. Banding in detail here. If you have 35 correct, be assured you have secured 8 in Listening.

I too have 34 correct answers, the rest I do not seem to remember my choices or 1-2 are wrong.
Good luck to you, any chance you were able to get any info on those missing two questions about farmers attitude towards technology ? I tried googling it, but seems like these listening tests can be brand new with every exam and not available on any internet sources like Reading passages.

Even I am not sure what is correct answer .... In first page mentioned as essential... But I wrote as well illustrated... And u r saying as - it's clear.
I don't remember seeing an option 'clear', rather it was 'unclear'.. others were essential, out of date, well illustrated, boring etc..

thanks for putting everything together in your updated answer, how sure are we all of the answers you posted are correct ? Going by that, I'm seeing at least 35 are correct for me (fingers crossed 36 for band 8). For books part though, I selected option B for both first and fourth question in that section as I heard 'information from years ago and needs to be updated' and 'written years ago' for both the books. I could be wrong, but I just went with gut feeling, although, it didn't say you could have one answer multiple times.
I almost picked B for the first question. I remember thinking did they say "it needed to be updated or that the information was up to date?". Then some other information was said and I ended up picking another letter for that question, and I used B for the fourth question.

With listening, what I have noticed is IELTS picks up a topic from internet and then moulds it into own words. So, it's like they have a wireframe of the topic and then simplify it for test takers and hence its a customised test you don't easily find on internet.

I guess most of us would lose marks in the books section of listening, the only answer I'm 100% sure is correct is fourth one being 'out dated', I guess its just a waiting game until result day from here then.

Interesting, it's so frustrating sometimes, some answers drive you crazy and I thought that the speed of the audio when they were discussing books section was faster than usual, you almost had no time to concentrate on an answer and then they start talking about next already.

Speed variations, tempo of the speaker, accents are all part of the Listening test. Getting a good score this way shows you are a good listener with different voices (mainly Australian and British), accents and can hear low and high pitches as well.

I lost track of the map section. Think I am good with the books section. Information center, Baggage collection and Water stand confused me. All these three mentioned some exit nearby and there were 3 exits marked on the map. I could have swapped either/all of them, Had to guess 1 or 2. Hopefully, I guessed it correctly. I am good with Stage, Prize draw etc., and the 2 MCQ's shoe and yellow. Otherwise, I am good with all answers discussed in this forum for both reading and listening.

Good luck to you. Do you remember all questions for Australian farmers attitude towards technology ? Most are updated here, add if you do remember those. Idk if my answers for books section are all correct except I know the fourth answer was option B (outdated) for sure. I got all correct on Map (I believe) and mcq in the same section. I just need an 8 and don't care about right answers..lol

Exactly, but I guess IELTS admits that some audio sections are tampered with speeds to test ability, so it usually feels like played at 1.25x speed.

I also want an 8 on listening. Think I hit all right in reading and I can expect 9 there. I ll cross 7.5 in writing and speaking I think. Dont want to take this test the second time.

Australian farmers - adopts newer technology even before research results

English farmers - Have money but not time to adopt newer research findings

In the map, what the one on the top right (near to railway exit?)

The one near top left exit?

The one near bottom exit?

The possible answers for these 3 are info center, baggage collection and water stand in any order...

That's nice! Reading may be I'll lose a mark for the railways section or two. 8 is my best bet there. Writing sucked for me, I'd be surprised to see anything over 7, can't accept 6.5 at all. Speaking was fine too I guess, examiner was very friendly even before starting the recording and that gave me a good feeling as she continued to be the same after stopping to record and she was very generous with questions and acknowledging my answers, though I was repetitive a couple of times.

For the map, I don't exactly remember the items but I know there was one near the bottom exit, one near the top left, one near the finish line, one after the finish line (after two lanes), one between or near the tents ? not sure about top right.. don't recall this or may be there is one as I got only 5 covered. I just randomly remember the items being a bag, t-shirt, some stage etc.

Yeah, may be you're right.. I think I remember slightly now, there was a question about farmers in the UK and rest all were about farmers in Australia. bloody confusing to remember now.

However, I remember Australian farmers are ready for making change with limited research, not before research results like you stated.

In the reading section:

6000 workers paragraph - large no of workers and their place of stay still remains (2 answers there)

The railway line through welsh towns - unmanned stations and station names not able to pronounce - 2 answers right there in the same paragraph

The one to fishing village St.Mary's or something - was established to improve trade/economy and now became a touristy town - 2 answers right there in the same paragraph

One station was kept running because of public protest - remains today because of public support

One train last 10 miles filled with tunnels - most of the last leg runs underground.

Think I covered all 8 there...
