Hi all,
I did my medical check up one day before of the submission for student visa. (Medical was must for the process of visa application, as I lived in abroad for 2+ years).
Yesterday I got a message from embassy, asking to do the medicals.
I went to see the doctor, my bad time she has gone abroad for 6 months!!!!!
Then the visa coordinator in the hospital told me, to post/handover IMM1017 document (medical check up application sent by embassy) and the e-medical confirmation document (given by hospital) in the post box of Canadian high commission. (Mentioned my IME no, and UMI no. on envelope so they can track)
My mail went through a security process and had to sign the log book in security.

That was the only option I had to submit my medical proofs.

I am slightly worried, Did I do right? Will the officers receive my posted mail by the time?
Any valuable opinion regarding this matter is highly appreciated.

Which country is this ?

When embassy request you to go for medicals, then after medical tests it is hospital's responsibility to send the report back to embassy. Hospital does not handover medical report to the candidate. They only give acknowledgement to be kept by candidate, which you need not send to embassy.

Hi thanks for the reply.
I am from Srilanka.
Yes I also believe that it's hospitals responsibility. My doctor is in abroad now. The other doctor who do medicals for visa tried to submit my medicals through the system, but it was rejected.
So they recommended me to post directly to the high commission of Canada.
They didn't handover the medical report to me. Yes, it's an acknowledgement receipt states I have performed all medical tests ,including my details.
Is there any other alternative options to submitted medicals?
I am more worried now.

Sending acknowledgment by post is not going help. Suppose even if you send acknowledgment by post, still it is not a medical report. What will visa officer analyze from acknowledgement letter.

Remember, at the end of the day, the visa officer needs to see medical reports. If hospital is not able to upload e-medical report then they should send it be post to the embassy.

Hi friends,
Im applied on July 16 th under SDS...when will i get updates...when will i get acknowledgement...
Link your application online if you have not done that. Once done you can monitor progress of your application. Not everyone gets acknowledgement.
