Hi friends.

I (am from Pakistan and) have received PR with non accompanying spouse and planning to land in November and then begin application for spousal sponsorship.

I would like to know if

1. I can apply for spousal sponsorship right after landing or do I need to receive PR card (which takes about 8 to 16 weeks to be processed);
2. The above threads suggest that spousal sponsorship is paper based application unlike the application for PR which is online and we can check it's status online, is it true?
3. Can we apply for visit visa for spouse and kids, say after 6-8 months of landing when our spousal application is being processed?
4. Can someone please guide me as to the documents to be prepared beforehand for spousal sponsorship?
5. Any other comments/feedback shall be highly appreciated.

Need help here please. My spousal papers were submitted via courier in Missisuaga on April 13th , some person with name David has received it as well , but after that I have not received any acknowledgement on my spouse papers that either application is accepted or not.

Really worried. Can you help how to track my application . Acknowledgement usually comes within 2 months and now I am heading to 4 month on Aug 10.

I would suggest to call CIC to confirm if they received your application. Majority of the tracked applications are accepted by R Mahmood.

Does any one have more information about the rome visa office. My wife's application was transferred there in may and we have not heard back from them since. No back ground check has started and it has been over two months.
