As far as I know IELTS is mandatory for EE. What visa are you on?

Even native english speakers have to take the test.

Your question has already been answered. Language testing is mandatory if you want to apply for PR through an economic immigration stream.

You would have attempted the Academic version whilst applying for your study permit. You now need to attempt the 'General' version.
