Student Visa with Wife

Hey! Me and my wife are both Chemical Engineers from Pakistan. We both got admitted to University of Saskatchewan for MS program in Chemical Engineering. Unfortunately our visa was rejected last year, hence we deferred our admission. We are now planning to apply again this December.

I some how feel that applying together will reduce our visa acceptance chance, because of weak family ties.
What do you prefer:
1) Should we both apply student visa at the same time?
2) Or one of us should apply a student visa, while the other applies for dependent visa.

Any sort of help would be appreciated.
Please share your experience, documents needed or whatever you feel would be helpful.

Well you need a ver very strong SOP to convince Visa officer that you will definitely come back from canada at the end of your both education. I dont know the previous refusal reasons. But your are right only in terms of finance if one of you will drop the university then financial burden will reduce ultimately. Further, you can take your wife on Open Work Permit. Do not apply for visitor visa OWP is better option and she can work there as well.

What if i am able to show bank statement enough to pay for one year tuition fee of both individuals while also provide living cost funds for both of us?

Its sounds good. But you need to show strong ties to Pakistan and reason to return back.

Yes me and my wife both applied for the visa together for Canada. Our visa was rejected on the basis of weak family ties.

I have applied on 25 June Online through agent in canada. No updates so far not even biometric letter is issued. Its been one whole month. For docuemnts pleae follow these steps:
Employment Letter contents:
Must include your monthly salary
Must include you weaknesses if they think that you might need this course or program to fill the educational gap and it would be valuable for company also if you complete your education from canada.
Must include that for how many years educational leave you will take and in your absence they will be responsible of your sponsorship or iqama renewal. And you will join them back after completeing education.

Siblings letter if you have: letter from family members that how much they love you and they could not wait to see you again. They could sheld some light on your character as well.

SOP: statement of purpose is actually your submission cover letter.
1)Introduce your self and mention that for which visa you are applying for and If other family members accompanying you then introduce them as well and mention the visa type you will be requesting for them.

2) backgroud of previous studies skills which you learned
3) current emolyment skills and new skills what you want to learn from canada university or college.
4) make comparison that there is no similar program or courses available in you home country and country of residence. Give few institutes or universities references and mention that they are not similar and the offered program in canada is most relevant to my skills.
5) describe the program which you intend to do in Canada . Desceibe some courses and their benefit of you will study those courses and how it will impact your professional career.
6) explain all of your proof of funds with currency conversion reference.
7)explain your travel history of you have to other countries.
8) at the end make a request to visa officer by refering to all of your docuemnts.
9) supporting docuemnts. Please mention all of the docuemnts in your sop at the end in bullets. And explain that you are submitting docuemnts onlin and mention the document slots where you uploaded each document. (Some times you dont find slot in online application to upload sone documents e.g. birth certificate or merriage certificate. You can submit it with other document and explain it in you sop in bullets thayi have uploades this docuemnt with may passport file. )
Try to combine all of your identification document in one file like passport all pages scan copy, id card, etc in one pdf file.
