How do you know they have begun background check?

I was just wondering if the VO gives you a heads up that your background check has begun or will it always appear on your cic account?

GCKey will change to 'We have started processing your background check'.

Did you call IRCC or ordered GCMS notes to find out the status of your eligibility and criminality?
BGC is done after you complete this...

No I have not they recently asked for the police certificate a month ago

Yeah I know Mexico VO is quite slow unfortunately

one of the slowest!! they started our background check in july 2017 and we heard nothing until PPR in march 2018
