Create an Express Entry profile while having provincial nominee linked to an online account

Hello everyone,

i am a provincial nominee and waiting from over 21 months. I have more than enough points to apply via express entry as well.

Recently i tried to create an express entry profile but system didn't let me and the error was "you already have an online application in process". I called CIC and they told me to submit a web form and file a complaint to technical difficulties.I did and the response from them is

"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided. Since you already have a Permanent Residence (PR) application
EP------- linked to your online account, the system will not allow to have a second PR application open simultaneously in the same online account.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry."

please help if someone has any suggestion.

As the email suggests, you either can wait for the PNP or withdraw it before creating an online PR application.

I had a paper PNP and an online EE application running simultaneously with no problem. However, unfortunately, I guess that does not apply to two online PR applications.

My PNP file is paper based too but linked to an online account. For many people i know is the same still they were able to create an express entry profile.

Try creating another MyCIC account to see if that helps. If not..maybe, you cannot create a second profile...You can get more details of my applications in my signature. They all categorized by color.

I did not link my paper application to MyCIC and the Paper application is actually submitted after I created my EE application.

I have a paper based pnp linked to my account, I was not able to create EE either. I made another gckey and created an EE. Hope I’m on a right path. Senior please help if that’s wrong. Thanks

did u ask someone? anyone advised you to do that? when did u create another profile for EE.

thats ok. Thats the problem, i know quite a few people who had provincial nominee application linked to their online account and still they were able to create an express entry profile, i dont know if they have changed the rules or something.

still looking for any good advice. called cic they told me to submit an issue through webform, did that but no satisfactory answer.

I think I’ve seen another person made a new gckey on this forum. Don’t know if they become PR though.
I assume all of our info is synced by the uci, so gckey shouldn’t matter. However I could be wrong. Please keep me updated also. Thanks
