I am planning to live in Fort Erie aswell. Were you able to find any apts? How is the area in general?

How did this work out for you? I am planning to move to Fort Erie and looking for inputs.

Others' inputs are also welcome.
1. Are there convenient apartments/condos close to Peace Bridge?
2. Would it be a hassle without a car? (I am thinking to sell my car rather than importing and paying high insurance, as I have one at fault 2 years ago.

Not too sure about Fort Erie as didn't explore that area. It might be better to live in Niagara Falls instead. There are a lot more options in terms of apartment/stores etc. Commute from Niagara falls to buffalo is not bad.
I would recommend getting a Nexus though.
It would be a hassle without a car.

- what does it take to work from Canada remotely and travel to US occasionally to visit clients? My question is focused towards employer obligations, immigration requirements, and applicability to keep GC process running.
- Has anyone experienced it and doing it successfully?

I haven't started doing the daily commute, but planning on starting doing it soon. I understand that it can be done on H1B visa( which is what i have right now), but in case the H1 extension get denied in current environment, is it possible to get a business visa and continue commuting? I am guessing one would be commuting less frequently to justify business trips as compared to working on H1B. Any thoughts on this would be useful.

Responded in other thread.. you cannot do this. You need H1 to work in US.

So, can we also pretty much conclude that working across the border in the US, will likely complicate your chances at getting a Canadian citizenship and also the GC in the US? It's a shame because I think I can make it work in my case.

Canadian Citizenship might get delayed but eventually you will get it.
US GC would be on track without issues.

Is your attorney in-house or an independent one whom I can possibly consult?
