POF for common-in-law

Dear Forum members,

my gf and I applying for the Skilled worker program as common-in-law and gf is accompanying. However, I stuck a little with POF requirement. They ask to have about 15,500 CAD for two people. I have 14,000 CAD in my bank account and she has about 17,000 CAD. Here is a question:

1. I do not have enough funds alone so If we submit both bank statements, does she need to make NOC or just attachment of her statement in addition to mine is fine?

2. Another option is to file only her bank statement and this reduce paperwork. Also, is NOC needed? I also read some people created joint account bit it is inconvinient for us and would like to avoid this option. Or NOC and joint account is required?

For now option "1" for me is the most viable but not sure whether they ask for NOC, joint account or NOC & joint account simultaneously in addition to my bank statement.

The NOC code has nothing to do with the proof of funds requirement. Provide a letter from the bank as required by CIC plus statements for the last 6 months, for you and your partner.

Thanks but by NOC and meant No obligation Certificate mentioned few times on this forum. Still looking for valuable suggestions.

She would need to provide a NOC saying funds available in her account will be accessible to you at any time. Include a letter from each of your banks highlighting he availability of funds m. Although not mandatory but it’s good to include 6 months bank statement (it should be on bank letter head signed and stamped)

You can do either way but still that NOC will be required. IRCC has no access to your bank account. All they wanna see is that you have the right documentation to satisfy the case officer reviewing your application that you both meet the funds requirements.

I would suggest you to include your bank account documentation also. Don’t want the case officer to think that you are only dependent on her for the funds.
